Water and fire have never mixed, but today the rain didn't slow the team as we left Overton NV. and rode out to Valley of Fire State Park. Valley of Fire always brings out the speed,  and so it was again once we left the fee area,  it becomes a race to see who can get the jump and the attacks begin. John McDaniel was setting a tough pace, so that everyone was left to look at the back of his kit. Dirk took off and the race was really on. The main group had to paceling doing around 30 all the way to the turn around. Wet and cold didn't slow anyone down on the return. 4hrs from the start to finish. If you have the time and willing to make the drive, Valley ofFire is a must ride!
